Gokul, India

Where it began

Born from the
banks of Yamuna

Gokullish was born in the sacred town of Gokul — where the river Yamuna flows quietly past ancient ghats and temple bells mark the rhythm of the day. It was here, surrounded by centuries of craft, devotion, and natural beauty, that our founders saw something the modern world was losing: the art of making things slowly, with purpose.

The name Gokullish carries within it the spirit of Gokul — the origin, the earth, the eternal. Every garment we create is an act of remembrance — of the artisans, the fibres, and the traditions that shaped this land.

We are not a fashion brand. We are a living archive of conscious craft.

What We Believe

Rooted in nature.
Woven in intention.
Made for a life well lived.

🌍

Conscious

Every choice considers people and planet.

The Craft

Block printing.
Ancient. Alive. Ours.

Each Gokullish piece begins not on a computer screen, but on a wooden block carved by hand in a small workshop. The block is dipped in natural dye — extracted from indigo, pomegranate, turmeric, and iron — and pressed onto fabric that has been washed in river water.

This is the Ajrakh tradition. Over 4,000 years old. Passed from father to son, mother to daughter. We work directly with the artisan families who carry this knowledge — paying fair wages, maintaining long partnerships, and allowing the craft to breathe in its natural pace.

A single kurta can take up to three days to complete. We think that is worth celebrating, not rushing.
